Sign Bar

An immersive bar built from salvaged legendary Texas signs, preserving Austin's forgotten history.

The Experience

Beautifully weird nostalgia

A Neon Relic of Old Austin

Sign Bar is more than just a place to grab a drink; it's a living museum dedicated to preserving the soul of a bygone Austin. What began as a personal passion for collecting deserted yet legendary bar and restaurant signs has blossomed into a completely immersive bar experience in East Austin. The creators, in collaboration with local artists and craftspeople, have meticulously curated a space that memorializes the city's foundational roots and "beautifully weird" character.

A Symphony of Salvaged Signs

Step inside and be transported by the glow of vintage neon and the stories etched into every sign. Each piece has a history, a connection to Austin's past institutions, and the bar staff are eager to share these tales. It's a place where nostalgia meets the present, offering a unique atmosphere that celebrates the city's evolving identity while honoring its heritage. From the carefully selected neon to the vintage bar mirrors and glassware, Sign Bar offers a visually stunning and historically rich environment for patrons.

Know Before You Go

Sign Bar is family-friendly until 7 PM, after which it becomes strictly 21+. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio only, provided they are leashed and friendly. Parking is available and free in both the front and back lots.
