Sparky Pocket Park is a testament to Austin's "keep weird" spirit, transforming a former electrical substation into a vibrant public space. At its heart lies the Grotto Wall, an extraordinary art installation by Berthold Haas. This unique mosaic encircles a functional cell tower, incorporating a dazzling array of materials including stones, mirror balls, sea shells, antique dish fragments, and repurposed ceramic insulators from the site's substation past. It's a fairytale-like fusion of found objects and artistic vision.
