The Cathedral of Junk is a testament to obsessive creativity, a sprawling sculpture built from over 60 tons of discarded materials by artist Vince Hannemann. Since its inception, this ever-evolving structure has grown into a towering, thirty-foot-tall monument in Hannemann's backyard, a hidden gem in Austin, Texas.

A Labyrinth of Lost Treasures

Visitors are invited to explore a bewildering array of recycled objects meticulously woven into the Cathedral's architecture. Bicycle parts, car bumpers, old televisions, toilets, and countless other forgotten items form intricate towers, winding staircases, and secret chambers. The space is designed to be explored, with hidden messages pressed into concrete and wind chimes that create a unique soundscape. Sunlight filters through mirrors and metallic surfaces, creating a magical ambiance, while at night, neon beer signs and illuminated displays add to its otherworldly charm.
