This dense stand of painted hackberry and cypress trees has cultivated a unique, peaceful subculture among local paddlers, offering a surprising pocket of wilderness within the bustling city.

Accessible only by kayak or paddleboard from Lady Bird Lake.

Access is exclusively by watercraft; plan your paddleboard or kayak launch accordingly. Full Moon Music Paddles are popular, so book in advance if attending. Bring a flashlight for nighttime visits and be mindful of the serene, natural environment.
